Welcome!

I am an illustrator, designer, and interpretive writer with over 10 years experience as a publications specialist. Much of my work is done with public lands management agencies such as the National Park Service, the USDA Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and state wildlife agencies. This work generally involves developing and illustrating educational materials for visitors to public lands. It gives me great satisfaction to be engaged in projects that promote understanding of and appreciation for wild places and wild creatures.

My freelance work has ranged widely from these natural history subjects to those of holiday greeting cards, cartoon calendars, and educational activity books for children. Long ago — in what seems another lifetime — I worked as an editorial cartoonist for both daily and weekly newspapers, and even did animation work at Hanna-Barbera. (The separation between Scooby-doo and Gray Wolves is not, apparently, as far as it may seem!)

Please contact me for more information about what I can do for you. I’d love to talk with you about your project.

Cheers,
Clint McKnight
